About Wally and its developer
Wally is a free budget and expense tracker for Android and iPhone. One independent developer in Latvia makes it, and there is no company or investor behind it that needs a subscription to pay off.

Who makes Wally
Aleksandrs Vozņarskis, an independent developer in Latvia, builds Wally for Android and iPhone and writes the guides and comparisons on this site.
Aleksandrs also makes Picmori, a free app for cleaning up the photo library on iPhone and Android.
Wally's official name is Watch My Wallet. In the stores it is "Wally: Budget Tracker". It is not related to WallyGPT or to other apps called Wally: which Wally is this.
Why Wally is free
There is nothing to unlock: no subscription, no in-app purchases and no ads. Budgets, wallets, currencies, sync and automatic import are the same for everyone. Your financial data is never sold or used for advertising.
Wally has no server that stores your records. They stay on your phone, and sync goes through an encrypted copy in your own Google Drive.
How the facts on this site are checked
- About Wally: only what the released app does. Features that are still being built are not described.
- About other apps: prices and limits come from their official pricing pages, help centers and store listings, with the date they were checked. Each comparison says that it is written by the developer of Wally.
- No money advice. The site explains how budget apps work and what they cost, not how to invest or save.
